9 ECG and blood pressure function The Samsung Health Monitor app, which allows you to measure blood pressure and record ECG, is a medical device. The blood pressure measurement is not intended to diagnose high blood pressure or other diseases or to check the user's values for signs of a heart attack. The ECG function can assist in detecting cardiac arrhythmias. However, it never looks for signs of a heart attack.
