Hardware RAID - it's easy
Whether hardware RAIDs with two drive bays are new to you or you are a seasoned pro, LaCie RAID Manager allows you to easily configure speed, capacity or data redundancy on this 2big V2. It even helps you monitor the health of the system through email notifications.
RAID 0 for performance
The hard drives are clustered and function as one large hard drive to allow for maximum speed and capacity.
RAID 1 for redundancy
The hard drives are mirrored, which means that the data on both hard drives is automatically identical. If one hard drive fails, you can still access the other.
JBOD for flexibility
The hard drives operate independently, so you get two separate hard drives in one enclosure.
