A legendary vehicle on the racetrack
The Porsche 917 KH was built in 1969 with the chassis number 917-021. The Finnish racing drivers Gijs van Lennep and Hans Laine drove the Porsche to eleventh and fifth place in the World Sports Car Championship in the races in Monza, Italy, and in the 1000 km race at Spa-Francorchamps, which took place on 17 May 1970 at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. Just 13 days later, Hans Laine died during training at the German Nürburgring. The Porsche was one of the most successful racing cars in the sports car championships of its time. Even today, it still manages to significantly shape Porsche's image as a sports car.
The coveted vehicle on the local race track
The renowned Porsche 917 KH also lives on in the slot car version. On a scale of 1:32, the vehicle impresses with its faithful reproduction in mustard yellow with the starting number 43 on the Carrera racetrack. Equipped with brake, front and rear lights, it looks just like the original. The Carrera car can be individually coded and digitally controlled, so it can be perfectly adapted to any driving style.
