Aqara Motion Sensor P1

The Aqara Motion Sensor P1 is a Zigbee device that works with the Aqara Hub. The P1 motion sensor detects body movement and the ambient light conditions.

Note 1: This device can be used with the Aqara Hub, which can work with both Aqara Home apps (Android or iOS).

Note 2: If you want to use this device as a HomeKit device, you need an Aqara Hub. This Aqara Hub can act as a HomeKit bridge (you need to use the Aqara Home app), which means that devices connected to the Aqara Hub can be controlled via the HomeKit app.If you want to control the device remotely, not from your local home Wi-Fi/LAN network, you need an Apple TV (with tvOS 10.2 or later) or iPad (with iOS 10.3 or later) or HomePod set up as your home hub.

Aqara Motion Sensor P1

• The Aqara P1 motion sensor detects body movement and ambient light conditions. If people move in the detected areas or the ambient light conditions change, the motion sensor will send a notification to the Aqara Home app via the connected Aqara Zigbee 3.0 hub or connection to other devices.

• Adjustable detection time limit: Finally, the detection time limit can be configured without changing the hardware. Simply set any time limit from 1 to 200 seconds, confirm by pressing the device button, and the P1 will not remain on for one minute as before. (Note: shortening the detection time limit will result in a shorter battery life)

• 5-year battery life: Thanks to energy-saving technologies and improved batteries, the P1 motion sensor can now achieve a record-breaking five-year battery life, ensuring long battery life even at very low temperatures or with lightning-fast detection time limits.

• Versatile compatibility: Compatible with the most popular smart home ecosystems. HomeKit, Alexa, IFTTT, and others are supported. Matter support will be available as an OTA update to Aqara nodes after the official release of the specification.

• 170° field of view: extremely wide field of view, 170° for up to 4 meters and 150° for up to 7 meters. In addition, thanks to the versatile 360-degree stand, the viewing angle can be adjusted so that only movement in the desired area (e.g., bed or sink) is detected.

• Adjustable sensitivity: The user can configure how sensitive the sensor will be. Three sensitivity modes (high, medium, and low) refer to the distance at which the sensor will be triggered, which can help reduce the number of false alarms and make the installation more flexible.

• Built-in light sensor: The light sensor built into the P1 can be used for more precise light control. For example, turn on the lights only when it is dark and motion is detected to save energy and extend the life of the lights.

• Smart home automation: The motion sensor is a natural part of most smart home automation: configure IF conditions and THEN actions, and many routine tasks such as turning on lights, opening curtains, or controlling the TV will be automated.

• Local and remote alarm: Thanks to the Aqara home alert system, the P1 motion sensor can become a reliable security device: configure the away mode in the app and enjoy constant monitoring, local sound and light alarms, and cloud notifications in case of motion detection. Or use it in HomeKit or other supported systems for the same purpose.

• Zigbee 3.0 protocol: Enjoy the benefits of the fastest, most stable, and energy-efficient smart home technology. Better stability and compatibility (more standardized protocol), longer support, and more features.

• Future-proof via OTA: The sensor now supports OTA updates, which means that new features and fixes can be added after the product is released.
