ND graduated filters are half transparent and offer a graduated ND grey filter effect on the other half. They allow you to selectively balance the contrast between sky and landscape - for example, to bring out clouds impressively. To make it easier for you to work with the filters, they can be rotated in the filter holder. This way you can easily adjust the course of the filter effect to the horizon.

The transition from one side to the other should not draw a visible line across the image. That's why B+W relies on a special coating process during production, which ensures a smooth transition from the transparent to the ND range while maintaining the sharpness of the image.
